I decided to sit down and make a shorted top/ jacket out of a denim colored rayon/ cotton fabric- not stiff but has a little body to it. It’s a clean silhouette with some nice details: using accents of pink/ blue cotton Indian madras plaid, I added a bell sleeve cuff that folds up; 2 front pockets lined in the same plaid; pink accent buttons; accent plaid holding the center back pleat in place; and a fringed hem in the denim. It’s got a certain understated charm!
